I did everything from sketching the form to bending the wood. It took me a long time but I think I finally figured out how to use the studio lights well. Webcor ZIP Jumbo Button Telephone model 768SW, 1980s by galessa’s plastics on Flickr. Ot was made by Webcor in the 1980s, and Webcor was an American brand producing radios and phonographs since the 1950s. What is going on here? Is it a phone for people with visual issues or is it just a post-modern joke, 1980s style? Made in Hong Kong of injected ABS plastic. I should get this for my grandma.

This bed-topping design by  Mehdi Mojtabvi proposes a different-but-parallel approach, turning a single-piece cushioned support into multiple modules. The resulting strips create optional gaps into which an arm, leg, foot or hand can comfortably slip in order to wrap around a loved one (or perhaps survive being crushed by an over-snuggling canine best friend). I give you the ‘love mattress,’ the ultimate entity for cuddly couples.
